George D. Lung

George D. Lung, 74, Warsaw, passed away at 12:32 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. He was born Dec. 9, 1947 in Goshen, to William Ernest Esther Marie (Cox) Lung.

He was a lifetime area resident, graduated in 1965 from Syracuse High School and then from International Business College and St. Frances College both in Fort Wayne. He was married on May, 10, 1969 in North Webster, to Sandra K. Price, who survives. He was a Certified Public Accountant and retired from Patona Bay in Leesburg after 10+ years. He formerly worked at Safe Way Door in Warsaw as an Account Controller, Central Soya in Fort Wayne, and Sea Nymph in Syracuse.

He attended the First Baptist Church in Warsaw and formerly attended the Church of God in North Webster.

He is further survived by his children: Wendy (Ronald) Whiteford of Granger; Christopher Lung of South Whitley; grandchildren: Kyle (Xinning) Gibbons, Brett Gibbons, Braelynn Whiteford, Dalton Lung, and Liam Lung; step-grandchildren: Braxton Ream and Peyton Ream; and sisters:  Norma Lust of Mears, Mich.; and Darlene (Roger) Fetters of Syracuse.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw.
