Ernest Eugene “Gene” Coffman, 76, Wabash, died at 1:46 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on October 16, 1945, in Bloomington, Ill., to Charles Albert and Geneva A. (Taylor) Coffman.
He married Becky Lawrence in LaFontaine, Oct. 16, 1988.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Coffman of Wabash; three children: Bonnie (Glen) Miller of Ligonier; Steve (Julie) Coffman of Warsaw; and Mike Coffman of Peru; two stepdaughters: Tammy (Chad) Kennedy of Bourbon; and Kari (Clif) Airgood of Wabash; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
