WARSAW — The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts has announced details or auditions for young people that will lead to castings for two productions.

The first show is a Halloween-themed production that is yet to be determined.

The other is the family musical, Annie. Casting is for the roles of Annie and the orphans and is intended for girls ages 9 to 15.

Both shows will be auditioned at the same time. Participants will fill out a form when they arrive stating which show or shows they wish to be considered for. Due to limited time constraints, organizers say they cannot accommodate multiple conflicts.

WHEN: Saturday, August 17

WHERE: Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts Lobby: 2515 E. Center St.; Warsaw, IN. 46580

WHAT: No need to prepare anything. We will teach you a short song. Girls asked to stay for callbacks for Annie will be singing selections from the show.

Ages 9-11 at 10:00 a.m.

Ages 12-18 at 11:30 a.m.

Callbacks for Annie will take place at 1 pm.

There is also another opportunity: Organizers are excited to expand opportunities for local youth in our WWJR productions by offering a non-performance role as Assistant Stage Manager (ASM). The ASM will assist the stage manager at every rehearsal and performances with organizing props and scenery, script prompting, preparing the stage/rehearsal hall and cleaning.

This volunteer position is available to anyone in grades 7-12. This is another wonderful way to get involved in theatre. If interested, please email Jennifer Dow, [email protected].
