The Rodeheaver Series for the Performing Arts will begin its 2015 season Feb. 1, 2015, with the first of three exciting performing arts offerings for the community to enjoy:

The Indianapolis Opera Ensemble – 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015. These talented young artists bring you their favorite opera and musical theatre selections. This will be the IOE’s third appearance on the Rodeheaver Series, with different young artists each time, and they are always a delight to the ear!

Manchester University Faculty and Jazz Combo Combo – 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015. Faculty members Scott Humphries and Tim Reed, along with student performers, provide maximum variety on this double-sided event, the first part being classical saxophone and piano repertoire, and the second part being jazz combo favorites. Scott Humphries is Director of Instrumental Studies and Music Education at Manchester University, and Dr. Tim Reed is Theory and Composition Coordinator and directs the Jazz Ensemble.

Duo Cantrasti – 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2015. Consisting of organist David Lamb and pianist Madlen Batchvarova. Lamb is well known throughout the organ and choral communities as an outstanding music educator, conductor and performer, and is currently Director of Music for Trinity UMC in New Albany, Ind. Batchvarova, a pianist, conductor and singer having performed the world over, is a native of Bulgaria and Director of Choral Programs at Hanover College in Southern Indiana.

The Rodeheaver Series for the Performing Arts was established in 1990 at the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw to support and foster performing arts and artists in a manner which brings glory to God. Named for the Rodeheaver family, legendary for their development and support of Christian music, and long-time members of Warsaw First UMC, the Rodeheaver Series has sponsored over 80 concerts, recitals and theatrical presentations. This year’s group of musical and theatrical artists promises to continue a time-honored tradition of excellence.

All performances are free and the public is cordially invited. For directions to the church please call the church office at (574) 267-6933 or visit warsawfumc.org.
